Welcome to Summer at Humble Monkey Wellness! It is the most wonderful season in CT, we know, and we hope that you all get out and enjoy nature, the sun, and the sand. Our practice schedule will remain the same throughout the summer unless you hear from us directly. Please jhoin us when you can. Namaste!
As of 9/1/2023, all classes are $10 and our 10-class card is a 9 + 1 offering ($90). Patanjali Spotlight: We've been sitting on the second limb of the eight-limbed path, the Niyamas, a limb associated with how we treat ourselves for a while. The second Niyama is santosha, or contentment. This asks us to reflect and realize that everything we need to be truly happy already resides within our hearts: we have enough, we ARE enough. Reflecting on how much time we spend searching for the "thing(s)" outside of ourselves that will make us "whole" or "complete" can be a useful endeavor. How often does having more of something we already have make us more content? Sit with the thoughts in a place that is surrounded by nature or other items that give you comfort. How does that make you feel and can you go inside and find your light radiating in that space? It is there if we slow down enough to find and appreciate it. We return to the realization that the simplest things will nurture our Spirit in some fashion on our trip to union with the DIvine.
